What is meant by patience?

Patience is the Ability to bear or wait something out indulgently, in a calm, controlled mood. It is also often described as perseverance, endurance or persistence.

Why is it important to be patient?

Those who are well prepared but can wait for something without stress and pressure already hold the key to happiness and success in their hands. Patient people are more satisfied, less often stressed and therefore healthier. They are also characterized by higher perseverance, self-control and frustration tolerance.

How can I learn to be more patient?

Patience is something you can practice. To do this, be sure to write down the moments when you lose patience. Also learn to let go, to use waiting times sensibly and to find inner peace. Be aware of your progress, set realistic standards, be prepared for setbacks and increase in stages.

Quotes about using patience and perseverance for change!

By nature, we humans tend to think in the short term. If something is unjust, we want to change it immediately. Be it the destructive Factory farming or the brutal World hunger.

But especially when an injustice affects an entire society and is firmly entrenched in habits, it takes staying power and a great deal of patience while you do something about it yourself. Change is difficult for most people. In the end, however, no injustice remains forever. This knowledge makes the wait much more pleasant, don't you think?

  1. Hello Cristoph

I'm Denise and I want to compliment you on your blog. I find many texts very inspiring. I especially liked Albert Einstein's statement: "Don't give up what's important to you just because it's not.
is simple." I also find your commitment to environmental issues very valuable and inspiring.

Indeed, many things in life require patience. On this subject, I came across the following interesting reference in the magazine "Erwachet": "Instead of letting circumstances over which you have no control try your patience, it would be better to start elsewhere. Consider what you can influence and focus on that. Learning patience is not easy when you're constantly under the gun because you have too much to do, too many places to be at once, and too many people to connect with. Dr. Hartstein sums it up, "We often react so impatiently primarily because we're under stress." (Awake article: Patience - a discontinued model?, retrieved from http://www.jw.org / 30.10.21)

I think we all long for a just, non-violent and joyful future. The following promise from the Bible gives me personal confidence: "Only a short time and the wicked will be no more. You will look where they were, but they are no longer there. But people with a gentle nature will possess the earth, and they will feel the greatest joy of abundant peace." (Psalm 37:10,11)

To hastily dismiss this statement as utopian would be a shame. It is true that convincing oneself of the truthfulness of the message in the Bible requires effort and patience, but it is worth the effort. God promises in His Word that His vision will be fulfilled at the time He has determined. "Even if it is delayed, wait patiently for it! For it will definitely be fulfilled." (Habakkuk 2:3) There we go again.

The above website offers a wealth of free articles and videos on various biblical topics and provides logical answers to the big questions of life such as: why is there so much suffering or why are we here and what is the real meaning of life?

I am convinced that it helps everyone to deal with such questions.

    With best wishes greets you

    Denise
