Boat rental for canoeing in the Spreewald
Just like you, we also started with a sustainable search engine for more information about a suitable canoe rental in the Spreewald. In our case, this was directly in Lübbenau, where you usually start. Friends told us about the Boat rental Franke which we can definitely recommend to you.
On Google Maps you will find a large parking lot right next to the rental shop. However, this costs just under €5. However, you can also park for free on Dammstraße and drive a little closer to the Franke boat rental. From our own experience, we can give you the tip to arrive at the canoe rental relatively early in the morning and not just before lunchtime. Because when the weather is great, all the canoes can be sold out.
From Berlin you can expect a travel time of about 1-1.5 hours.

You will also receive a laminated map from the boat rental company of the Spreewald's many canals. Depending on how long you want to paddle in the Spreewald, you can then choose a suitable route. Both the main Spree and the individual canals are very quiet, so you can easily paddle in both directions.

The formalities are settled! Everyone gets a paddle - and off we go! We have decided on the tour, which takes about 4 hours.

The duration of the entire canoe trip can be extended if you get lost in a restaurant halfway through. For vegetarians and vegans, however, the choice is scarce - that much can be said. We ordered fried potatoes - and although it wasn't on the menu, there were a few pieces of bacon. The clocks tick a little differently there, but that's not too bad if you know that 😉
Paddling in the Spreewald - Worth the trip!
