The ideal hiking trail around the lake Schermützelsee
You can easily start at the Schermützelsee lido in the north-east of the lake. If you are traveling by car, there is also a parking lot at the starting point of the route. shady parking lotwhich is not directly on the road.
The ideal trail then continues counterclockwise along the north shore, at the "Black Throat" past in the direction of the Restaurant "Johst am See. It's best to use the keywords I give you here to find your way around. We were at least a little confused by the signs on the hiking trail 😉.
Once you arrive at the restaurant, you can either walk up the mountain in the direction of the panoramic view or take the stairs directly. We simply did both. At the end, you are back at the bottom of the stairs and walk along the asphalt road into the forest.
The basic rule here is: Always stay as close to the lake as possible, but do not go onto private property. Use the red and green path markings on the hiking trail. This is a great way to avoid confusion.
Then it goes past the "Long Ground"at the "Border Throat" and the "Beech throat". Finally, you can have a piece of cake at the "Restaurant Fischerkehle treat yourself. That's about halfway along the hiking route. Perhaps it is now also available in vegan form.
Then you hike east along the "White lake" - the small neighboring lake of the Schermützelsee - past in the direction of the "Brecht-Weigel-Haues". This is the memorial to the artist couple Bertolt Brecht and Helene Weigel.
On the home stretch, keep going as usual always as close to the lake as possibleuntil you finally arrive back at the Schermützelsee lido and.
