Make your own hand cream - Natural and plastic-free

Make your own hand cream - 3 natural recipes

  1. Kokosöl-Handcreme
  2. Beeswax hand cream
  3. Honey hand cream

Handcreme selber machen mit Kokosöl

Coconut oil - make your own hand cream

Make your own hand cream with beeswax

Beeswax - make your own hand cream

And this is how you make the beeswax hand cream:

Make your own hand cream with honey

Make your own hand cream is very easy with this recipe. Honey has a particularly good care effect and also smells wonderful.

Für die Honig-Handcreme brauchst du:

  • 2 Gramm fließenden Honig
  • 20 milliliters of whole milk (or vegetable milk)
  • 20 Milliliter Traubenkernöl
  • 10 milliliter Mandelöl*
  • 5 drops of essential oil

And this is how you make the hand cream with honey:

Store the homemade hand cream

Die Handcreme kannst du in jedem sauberen Behälter aufbewahren. Dazu eignen sich zum Beispiel Marmeladengläser oder Babybreigläser, du kannst buy a jar but also here*.

Hey, I'm Tabea. A few years ago I became aware of the plastic and waste problem on our planet and since then I've been trying to actively work towards making our planet cleaner again. It's a long way to the goal, but I believe that even with the small everyday things you can change the world for the better. :)

  1. Hi Tabea, I recently made the coconut oil hand cream. However, it has become so hard on me after cooling that I can't even get it out of the jar. It is as firm as a bar of soap. Did I do something wrong, or is it always like that? Vg Christine

    1. Hi Christine! Thanks for your feedback 🙂
At about 24°C, coconut oil becomes liquid. If it is a little colder in your home, it will remain hard. You can simply scrape it off with a spoon and put it into your hands. The warmth of your hands will then soften the hand cream.
I hope that helps you 🙂
      Many greetings,
      Christoph

  2. It's still warm outside, but already the rough hands are starting again...
Will try your recipe with honey soon, my previous recipes are a bit elaborate for in between.

thank you for your comment! The problem with the rough hands I also know very well.
Glad you want to try the recipe! In addition, drink enough and dry hands are a thing of the past 😉

  3. Hello!
    Thanks for these great tutorials.
Conventional products contain more and more harmful substances. It's nice to be shown here how to get around this.

  4. I just made the honey cream and got a fantastic cream. Thank you so much for your recipes, you are great.
I always try to make my natural cosmetics, but sometimes there is no choice but to buy some brands of natural cosmetics. However, I always read the ingredients very well.

    1. Hello Javier,
Thank you for your lovely comment. <3
You just can't do it all at once either, just take it step by step 🙂 .
      All love

  5. Hello Tabea,
I would like to make the hand cream with beeswax. However, I do not have sunflower oil and alkaline herbal tea, can I replace the ingredients with other oil (olive oil, jojoba oil or the like) and other tea (chamomile or the like)?
    Thanks already for the answer
    And love greetings
    Chana

    1. Hi Chana! You are welcome to try a little bit, but the ingredients are definitely best for your homemade hand cream.
      LG Christoph
